Also known for his passion for humanitarianism and charity work Roberto Clemente sadly passed away while on his way to deliver aid to victims of an earthquake in Nicaragua. For his sacrifice the MLB renamed the Commissioner's Award as the Roberto Clemente Award given to the player who best follows his example each year.
